Navigate your way to safety in seconds, with zero equipment . . .
Which way?
You've three seconds to decide . . .
You're driving away from a regional emergency - fire, storm, whatever. You were smart - you left before the exodus began. The road turns and you're faced with an unfamiliar junction. You know which way you want to head in on a compass, but which way are you facing? Traffic is statring to build up behind you. You need to make a decision quickly. Can you do it? Here's a question: which way, on a compass, are you facing right now? 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . Time's up. If you have an answer to that question, you're rare. Could you answer that question in an unfamiliar environment, under stress?
Scenario 2 - your hiking expedition has gone wrong. You've lost equipment and you're lost. Can you reoritentate yourself quickly, or are you and your team going to spend the night on a freezing mountainside? Hypothermia is the most dangerous thing in the wild.
Scenario 3 - you're in a third world city. It's exciting. It's also dangerous. You've decided to head back to your hotel. Again, you're disorientated. Now, you could take out a street map, or you could take out a mobile phone, or you could shout, "Money money money, I'm a rich tourist, and I'm lost." Or you could make some simple observations, and re-orientate yourself with those, and head on in the right direction without missing a step.
Now these are worst case scenarios. but when you cover for the worst cases, you cover for all cases. Much of the time, navigation skills just make life easier and more enjoyable.
Hi, I'm Antony Brush, I have an interest in navigation and astronomy, I'm a software engineer, I've been a software engineer for over 20 years. The most relevant part of my career as far as this is concerned has been in heavy engineering projects where geolocation was involved. Many of the projects I've been involved in have also been mission critical. Now, software engineering is basically problem solving. Lately I've looked at the problem of navigating with zero equipment. Why? Relying on equipment introduces a risk.
Let's say you use a mobile phone. A mobile phone could be out of signal, out of battery, lost, stolen, broken, left behind . . . GPS systems - much the same. If you use a GPS [or sat nav] system on a regular basis, you'll know that they do freeze up on occasion, sometimes for a significant period of time, and sometimes at inopportune moments. Even a compass - if for whatever reason you don't have it with you, there's a problem.
So what about improvised navigation? You may know the Watch Method - this is the method whereby you take an analogue watch, you lay it flat, you point something at the Sun, and go through a series of steps to reorientate yourself. Again, it's relying on equipment, and most people don't carry an analogue watch these days. Maybe you do. Either way, it's not a bad entry point into the subject of improvised navigation, for a number of reasons, including its familiarity. However, there are a number of versions of this in circulation, and some of them do contain factual errors. If you're not familiar with the technique, or if you're not sure if you've got a working version of it, do fill your details in the form below and I'll send you a free report with the basic method.
However, even with a working version of this, do you know the limits of the method? Do you know the circumstances in which it works, and the circumstances in which it doesn't work? This is an important question, because with any improvised navigation technique, there are limits, and if you use a good technique in the wrong circumstances, it could send you disastrously in the wrong direction.
And the answer to the question I asked previously is "No," you don't know the limits to the method, I know this, because I've looked at all of the survival manuals I could find, navigation books, online articles, online videos, and you can't find the full answer anywhere. It's just not in circulation, until now.
Now I've gone far beyond this. I've enhanced and improved old methods of improvised navigation and I've developed entirely new methods for navigating with zero or essentially zero equipment. I'm writing a series of short books on the subject, the first one is about navigating by the Sun. I'd like to offer this to you.
Now, improvised navigation is always an approximation. With this manual, you'll learn the limits of each method, old and new, and you'll learn the circumstances in which each method does work, so whichever circumstances you find yourself in, you'll know which method or methods you can use. You'll learn new methods which haven't been published anywhere before, and much of the time with the skills you'll learn, you'll be able to reorientate yourself with no equipment, with no need to occupy your hands, (which could be important, for instance if you're driving), without needing to stop, and in just a few seconds - faster even than most people can read a compass.
Now, you cannot get this information anywhere else. This is the source. If you're ready to take your navigation skills to the next level, click the button below. You'll thank me later.
Discover How to Navigate by the Sun
After reading this 82 page manual, you will have new methods of navigation at your disposal, that have never been published before, and new skills that can be used for leisure, or in an emergency.
What you'll discover:
- A new technique for navigating, that is hands-free, and is so simple it can even be done while driving (with proper care of course!);
- Alternative techniques for the Southern Hemisphere;
- Another new technique for the Tropics, which is a little weird, but it works;
- New methods to navigate with no idea what the time is, and no equipment at all, not even a stick;
- The limits of all methods based on the Sun - including the older methods also covered in this book. This is essential, as all improvised methods have their limits, and if you don't know them, you could be sent as much as 180° off course. Ignore this issue at your own risk.
